Overview
Science and Technology covers a wide remit, everything from discovery to the strategic development and exploitation of intellectual property. It’s an area in which we at Walker-Cox have played a leading role, as a provider of interim management services, ever since the company was founded, ten years ago.

In that time, we have witnessed – and through our interim managers, contributed to – a period of continuous innovation and unprecedented progress in terms of invention, exploitation and company start-ups and spin outs.

Over the years, we have provided Interim Managers to most of the UK’s largest science-based organisations operating in the Public Sector. Many of these, we have subsequently helped through the process of commercialisation, as they made the transition from Public to Private Sector.

In today's turbulent economic times, the Science and Technology area faces new and perhaps even greater challenges as budgets are squeezed and expectations are pushed even higher.

Engaging Walker-Cox
Simplifying the procurement/recruitment process, and ensuring our clients can be confident of receiving high quality and cost-effective service, Walker-Cox has a Catalist framework agreement with the OGC.

We are a founder member of the CNWS (Complete Nuclear Waste Solutions) Consortium, comprising eight specialist providers of Nuclear Waste services. CNWS currently bids for Tier 1 contracts to supply the highly specialised interim science and management resources required to meet the unique challenges faced by the nuclear industry.
