How we work
To avoid wasting your time, we invest our time in getting to know your people, understanding your business, and, of course, discussing your objectives – visiting your organisation, where possible, to experience the working environment at first hand.
In our view it's time well spent.
Our experienced, in-house consultants are all professionals – most have worked as interim or project managers, themselves – so they're well placed to understand both your needs and those of our interim managers, ensuring you only get to meet the best qualified and most compatible candidates. They are also able to offer advice on which skills need to be imported, often providing opportunities for further efficiencies or cost reduction.
For example: on large change programmes, we often provide a suitably experienced interim professional to drive the project, but then recommend clients use their own people for implementation, because they will have to live with the subsequent consequences and outcomes. What's more, 'backfilling' is considerably more cost-effective than placing new people in project roles.
To help ensure we're able to provide a responsive service and meet your future interim management requirements efficiently and effectively, we try to update our knowledge of your company, regularly, through conversations and occasional meetings.

Our method
We have a long-term relationship with the majority of our interim professionals, many of whom have worked on several successful Walker-Cox placements. When required, new executives are sourced through personal recommendations and referrals. The success of our selection process can be gauged by the amount of repeat business we receive.

Support doesn’t stop once an interim manager has been placed. We aim to provide a continuing and proactive service to both our clients and our interim managers, to help ensure that every assignment is completed successfully, and any changes to the original brief are accommodated smoothly and efficiently.
